Earth Eats, a weekly podcast, public radio program and blog produced by Annie Corrigan of WFIU, recently caught up with Marcia Veldman of Meadowlark Farm, at one of the last sessions of the 2012 Bloomington Winter Farmers’ MarketYou can read the interview here.

Meadowlark Farm is located in the rolling hills of western Brown County near the north fork of Salt Creek. Marcia and her partner Steve Cotter cultivate a gently sloping hillside surrounded by pasture and woodland. In the center of the garden is a passive solar greenhouse that allows year-round production with little need for other fuel sources. Meadowlark Farm products are available at Restaurant Tallent, the Bloomington Community Farmers Market (Wednesdays at Bloomingfoods East) and the Bloomington Winter Farmers Market.

Marcia also coordinates the Bloomington Community Farmers’ Market, held on Saturday mornings at the City Hall Showers Building at 401 N. Morton in Bloomington, Indiana. The Market opened last Saturday, April 7 2012, and will continue through November.
