4.  How did the market get started?

The Bloomington Winter Farmers' Market was started by Slow Food Bloomington in 2004 and has been run by the Local Growers Guild since 2007.  We are excited to be one of the only farmer-run markets in Indiana as well as one of only a few winter markets.  It is now possible to attend a farmers' market in Bloomington from January through November!  The Bloomington Winter Farmers' Market also features live music and chef demonstrations.  It is a cozy place to be on a cold Saturday morning.

5.  Where can I park?

The Harmony School parking lot is available (please use only designated spaces).  Street parking is also legal and free on Saturdays.  And just over a block away is the Atwater Parking Garage (entrance is off Woodlawn), which is also free on Saturdays.

For a look at last year's market, please see our BWFM archive.

6.  Who took these fabulous photos of the market?

These photos were taken by David Snodgress of the Herald-Times and Mark Richardson.  A special thank you to both of you and to the Herald-Times!
