In the 2010 growing season, the Local Growers Guild will be facilitating a pilot program for on-farm internships!  The program will be coordinated by Gina Wertz (also known as Tiga), and will only be open to grower members as hosting mentors and community members as interns.  A grower (also known as producer) membership is only $40 and a community membership is as little as $12.  Besides participation in the internship program, a membership with the Guild has many other benefits - more information on membership available at http://localgrowers.org/join.

LGG community members interested in applying can download an application starting on Tuesday, February 23rd.  We encourage anyone who's interested in becoming an intern through the LGG to become a community member of the Guild for as little as twelve dollars!  Your membership donations allow us to do great things like create internship opportunities, seek grants for growth, and devote staff time to many other activities that support local economy and farming in Southern Indiana!

Questions and interest can be directed to Tiga, at ginawertz@gmail.com or (317) 364-9920.
