Please join us to learn more about Community Supported Agriculture and the myriad opportunities that you have for subscribing. Did you know that there are TEN CSA programs available in the Bloomington area and FOUR more available to customers in Indianapolis? There are even CSAs serving Columbus & Terre Haute! Larry Howard of Maple Grove Farm, Alex Smith of Stranger's Hill Organics, Jennie Hoene of Ewenique Icelandic Sheep Farm, Pete Johnson of Lost Pond Farm, Mandy Corry of Schacht Farm and Katie Zukof of Muddy Fork Farm will be on hand to tell you more about their programs.
A CSA is a subscription program in which community members pledge to support a farm or group of farms by paying a fixed fee for a weekly box of fresh produce and/or other farm products, including meats, baked goods, eggs, flowers, honey and wheat flour. This mutually supportive relationship between local farmers and community members helps create an economically stable farm operation in which customers are assured the highest quality products, often at below retail prices. In return, farmers are guaranteed a reliable market for a diverse selection of crops. To see a complete list of the CSA programs offered by our members, see our CSA page.

The Bloomington Winter Farmers Market exists to extend the farmers' market season and increase the
availability of fresh produce and other local products throughout the four seasons of the year. We seek to encourage direct contact between producer and consumer and increase understanding of local food economy issues. We strive to produce and provide the greatest possible varieties of local foods while working together in a cooperative atmosphere to insure the success of the market.
